I havent been able to catch much of the Republican Convention so far, but I was able to watch Fred Thompsons speech on replay last night. Like the Guinness commercials, all I could say was Brilliant!. If Fred had only got started a little earlier in the primaries, my guess is that things would be a lot different right now. I absolutely love his state the way it is with absolutely no bullshit communication method. But unfortunately, hes not our candidate, so Ill just have to let it go.
However McCain isn’t all that bad. Despite his less than perfect gun rights record, he recently made his position clear that he does not believe in gun control. Now the question is do I believe him. Well I’m more inclined to believe McCain on this subject than BHO. Especially since BHO specificly reaffirmed his hatred/fear of so called assault weapons in his nomination acceptance speach last thursday. Add to that the fact that McCain has chosen a very pro-gun rights Gov Palin as his running mate, at least shows some he’s willing to back up his statements.
